We are looking for an experienced or newly graduated Health Information Manager to join this professional and supportive team at our private hospital in Northern NSW as our Health Information Services Manager.

In this pivotal role, you will lead and develop our Health Information and Clinical Coding Services, ensuring the highest standards in medical records management and clinical data reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the Health Information Service, including medical record management, archiving, maintenance, and destruction.

Deliver accurate and timely clinical coding using ICD-10-AM (12th Edition).

Support data collection and reporting for clinical indicators, service evaluation, NSW Health, Health Funds, and other relevant agencies.

Provide education and conduct analysis of clinical coding and casemix data.

Coordinate responses to medico-legal and other external patient information requests.

Ensure compliance with all mandatory data reporting requirements.

Essential Requirements:

Bachelor of Health Information Management (or equivalent).

Strong clinical coding experience with the ability to mentor and train staff

Proven leadership and staff management experience is preferrable but not essential

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Understanding of private sector funding models.
