Power of Play Physio, a growing private practice located south of the river in Perth, is seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team on either a full-time or part-time basis (contractor role can also be discussed). This is an exciting opportunity to contribute and shape the growth of our paediatric therapy services at Power of Play.

About us:
Power of Play Physio is becoming a well-known paediatric therapy service provider dedicated to inspiring children to explore the world through movement, experiences, and play. We are ready to grow further and offer Occupational Therapy to our client’s and families alongside our already established Physiotherapy and Therapy Assistant service.
Located in Atwell, our clinic offers a purpose-built space that facilitates a play-based therapy approach. You will be part of a team that is committed to providing high-quality care and have the flexibility to conduct sessions in the clinic as well as in-home, school, and community settings.
About the role:
As our first Occupational Therapist, you'll have the unique opportunity to shape and expand our services alongside a dedicated team of Physiotherapists. You'll work closely with children and their families, providing expert assessment and intervention to support their development and improve their quality of life.
What You'll Do:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify each child's strengths and challenges
Develop individualised treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each child
Provide therapeutic interventions to enhance fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities
Educate and support families to promote carryover of therapy goals at home and in the community
Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams including allied health professionals, paediatricians, GPs, and hospitals
Conditions that you will see include neurological and genetic disorders such as Cerebral Palsy and Down syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Global Developmental Delay, learning difficulties, fine motor challenges and other paediatric and developmental physical disabilities. As the successful applicant, you'll play a pivotal role in establishing the Occupational Therapy service at Power of Play, with opportunities for career progression and advancement. You will be working alongside the director, who is a Physiotherapist with years of experience being a part of a multidisciplinary clinic.

Skills & experience:
AHPRA registration & full working rights within Australia
Working with Children Check & NDIS worker screening check (or willingness to obtain)
Current driver’s licence
A minimum of 1 year experience as an Occupational Therapist, with experience in paediatrics preferred
Passion for working with children and a commitment to their well-being and development
Strong communication skills and a collaborative team spirit
Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously
Commitment to personal and professional development
