About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Tandoori / Curry chef and kitchen hand / Wait Staff (exp) to join our family-owned Indian restaurant in Sandgate, Queensland. This part-time role will involve preparing and cooking authentic Tandoori dishes, as well as assisting in the general operations of the kitchen.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and cooking a variety of Tandoori dishes, including Tandoori chicken, lamb, and vegetables

Maintaining the Tandoor oven and ensuring proper cooking temperatures

Assisting with general kitchen duties, such as food preparation, cleaning, and inventory management

Collaborating with the head chef to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality dishes

Adhering to strict food safety and hygiene standards

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Tandoori chef or in a similar role within an Indian restaurant

Excellent knowledge of authentic Tandoori cooking techniques and spices

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Excellent time management and multitasking skills

A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating delicious, authentic Indian cuisine
