Responsibilities:
- Experienced in preparing, managing, and distributing Board and Committee meeting materials, drafting meeting minutes, and coordinating circular resolutions.
- Skilled in maintaining accurate company records ensuring corporate databases and documentation are consistently updated and aligned with governance standards.
- Proficient in managing corporate calendars, coordinating key meetings, and supporting compliance requirements through consistent documentation and best practice frameworks.
- Strong ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, contributing to business process improvements and supporting wider organisational initiatives.
- In-depth understanding of corporate governance practices, legislative changes, and regulatory requirements, with experience liaising with finance, treasury, and sustainability teams.
- Capable of managing ad-hoc projects, overseeing key account relationships, supporting corporate policy development, and maintaining a strong grasp of group operations and strategic priorities.
What you'll need to succeed:
- +8 years' experience as a Company Secretary or Assistant Company Secretary within a corporate setting (preferably in the property industry)
- Strong background in senior-level administration and organisational support within a professional environment
- Certificate in corporate governance from the Governance Institute of Australia.
- Strong communication skills is essential to this role as you will be dealing with different stakeholders both nationally and internationally.
- Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage tasks through to completion with minimal supervision
- Skilled in creating and formatting professional PowerPoint presentations; familiarity with additional design tools is an advantage
- Hands-on experience with DocuSign, BoardVantage, GEMS, and SAP systems is highly desirable
- Previous experience supporting a legal team is highly regarded
