About the Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced IT Operations Team Lead to join a well-established leader in the Australian construction and infrastructure industry. Based in their Brisbane corporate office, this permanent position will see you leading both the Infrastructure and Application Support teams, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring technology aligns with strategic business objectives.
This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to guide a team through modernisation, including a strategic shift from cloud-heavy infrastructure to a more optimised in-house environment.
Key Responsibilities
- IT monitoring system;
- Operating System and Applications management including ensuring patching is up to date;
- Managing cyber risk and ensuring that appropriate security controls are adhered to;
- IT infrastructure and Application management including managing hardware lifecycle and software contracts/agreements;
- Monitoring of escalated tickets from the Service Desk team to Infrastructure or Applications Team; and
- Day to day leadership of the Infrastructure and Application team, including managing team performance and productivity; and
- Management and ongoing improvement of, but not limited to:
- Establishing and developing relationships with key business stakeholders.
Essential Criteria
- Extensive experience in IT operations leadership, particularly within infrastructure and application support;
- Proven ability to lead and develop collaborative technical teams;
- Extensive technical and procedural knowledge in aspects of technology lifecycle management, AWS, hybrid cloud, backup solutions, Microsoft 365, ERP; and
- Results-focused, with a strong track record of improving IT service delivery and operational outcomes.
