ABOUT THE ROLE
Join us as the Acting Head of HPE – Semester 2, 2025
We are seeking an exceptional educator to lead the Health and Physical Education (HPE) Department in Semester 2, 2025, covering a period of long service leave.
This role offers the opportunity to lead a dynamic and high-performing team in our Secondary School, driving both strategic initiatives and day-to-day excellence in the HPE Department. It’s a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader or aspiring Head of Department to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and professional environment.
ABOUT YOU
To be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following qualifications and experience:
Bachelor's Degree qualification.
Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) or the ability to obtain registration.
First Aid and CPR Certification..
An ability to teach Senior Physical Education will be viewed favourably.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to foster an innovative mindset within a Department or team.
Excellent time-management and administrative skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
An ability to plan and detail a calendar of programs which foster participation, teamwork and collaboration and enhance students’ learning experiences.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build professional rapport with multiple stakeholders.
A high level of interpersonal skills, a willingness to be an active team member and contribute to the life of the College.
An ability to think strategically and implement initiatives.
Adherence to ethical standards and professional conduct guidelines for Teachers.
