About the role
We’re seeking an enthusiastic and organised Programs Officer Swim School to join our vibrant team at the Cannington and Riverton Leisureplexes!
This role is responsible for the effective coordination and delivery of our swimming programs across both facilities. You’ll play a key role in ensuring a high-quality customer experience by managing class timetables, enrolments, and communications, while supporting a passionate team of Swimming Teachers. With a focus on safety, customer service, and excellence in aquatic education, you’ll help shape a Swim School that the Canning community can trust and be proud of.

A snapshot of the role
Day-to-day management and coordination of all Swimming programming and classes
Manage enrolments, bookings, class placements, and waitlists using our Swim School software
Liaise with teachers to ensure classes are adequately staffed and delivered to a high standard
Monitor class attendance, progression, and customer feedback to optimise program delivery
Assist with the recruitment, training, and support of swim school staff as required
Ensure programs meet safety regulations, accreditation standards, and operational procedures
Provide exceptional customer service and communications to parents, guardians, and patrons
This position is required to work ordinary hours Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm, with flexibility needed to work weekday evenings until 7pm and weekends 8:00am – 4:30pm depending on the needs of the business.
What you’ll need
Significant swimming and water safety teaching experience, and knowledge of the industry
Exceptional administrative, scheduling, and organisational skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to lead and support others in a busy, customer-facing environment
Proven problem-solving skills and experience de-escalating complaints promptly & professionally
Ideally, experience coordinating aquatic or educational programs in the leisure industry
Willingness to work flexible hours across both Leisureplexes to suit the needs of the service
Current Australian Swim Teacher License and CPR Certificate
Current Working with Children Check
Current Driver’s License and satisfactory National Police Clearance (less than 6 months old)
