Mission Australia is searching for a creative, detail-driven Digital Coordinator to help us build a stronger, more connected future. In this newly created contract role, you won't just manage content - you'll shape stories, enhance journeys, and bring our digital vision to life. Working hands-on with our Optimizely Content Management System and broader marketing tech ecosystem, you'll execute content migrations, support web campaigns and drive UX improvements and SEO optimisation. Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Oversee the full content lifecycle in Optimizely Content Management System, ensuring alignment with brand, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), User Experience (UX), and accessibility (WCAG) standards
  • Enhance content with rich media elements (graphics, video, and interactive components) to improve engagement
  • Conduct content audits to identify and resolve gaps, outdated materials, and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) opportunities
  • Implement metadata, tagging, and structured formatting for searchability and discoverability
  • Work within Mission Australia's evolving Marketing Technology stack, ensuring Content Management System, Digital Asset Management, Content Marketing Platform, and Data Platform contribute to personalised and data-driven digital experiences
  • Assist in configuring content-driven user journeys, ensuring the right content reaches the right audience at the right time
  • Collaborate with fundraising and marketing teams to align content with automation, behavioural triggers, and dynamic content strategies
  • Ensure content and assets (text, images, videos) are optimised for web, mobile, and accessibility, improving user engagement and performance.
  • Monitor content performance using Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Optimizely Data Platform insights, recommending data-driven improvements
  • Support digital campaigns, Electronic Direct Mailouts, and website enhancements with content execution and refinement, ensuring alignment with Urchin Tracking Module structure and governance for accurate tracking and performance insights
  • Contribute to the documentation of workflows, best practices, and training materials for internal teams
  • Identify and implement efficiencies in content workflows, optimising how digital content is planned, created, and managed

Requirements for success

  • Tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or related field; or equivalent relevant experience
  • 2-5 years' experience in digital content management, web publishing, or a related role.
  • Experience managing Content Management System or Digital Experience Platforms (DXP) and working with Digital Asset Management and Content Marketing Platform tools
  • Hands-on experience optimising web content for Search Engine Optimisation, User
  • Experience with and accessibility (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines)
  • Experience with content formatting, metadata tagging, and structured content workflows
  • Exposure to content personalisation, audience segmentation, and automation tools (e.g., Optimizely Data Platform)
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM) for content performance monitoring
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interpret and action digital content briefs, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment.
  • Highly organised, proactive, adaptable and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines
