About the role

Kilt projects' is seeking both a skilled Boilermaker and Workshop Foreman to join our team in Midvale, Western Australia. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in supporting our fabrication and construction projects. As a Boilermaker, you will be responsible for the assembly, repair, and maintenance of various metal structures and equipment.

What you'll be doing

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and equipment
• Operate a variety of welding equipment, such as MIG, TIG, and stick welders, to join metal components
• Perform metal cutting, forming, and fitting tasks using power tools and hand tools
• Inspect completed work to ensure adherence to quality standards and safety regulations
• Collaborate with the wider construction and engineering teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, and follow all safety protocols
• Driving license essential

What we're looking for

• Formal qualifications in Boilermaking or a related trade, such as a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade
• Demonstrated experience as a Boilermaker, ideally in the construction or fabrication industry
• Proficiency in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and organised work environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
