Dr Bala is an Interventional Cardiologist with special interests in the fields of coronary angiography, angioplasty and complex cardiac interventional procedures. Dr Bala performs cardiac procedures St John of God Hospital (Bendigo), St. Vincents Private and Public Hospital (Fitzroy). His private consulting rooms are located in Bendigo and Hawthorn East. He also has a special interest in rural services and consults in Castlemaine, Swan Hill, Kerang, Echuca and Melton.
Victorian Cardiac Care are seeking an exceptional receptionist to welcome and greet new and existing patients to the clinic. We are seeking someone with a background in specialist clinics who is adaptable to work with different software. We require a can do attitude and the ability to manage patients and schedules from multiple areas.
This position is 2 days per week. Days of work will be a mix of days between Monday to Thursday, with the possibility to work extra days if required. Full training, orientation and support will be provided. We are a small close-knit team who support each other in a friendly environment.
Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
• Scheduling appointments.
• Billing, receipting, and invoicing.
• First point of contact for patients and incoming enquiries, such as phones, face to face, and electronic communications.
• Hospital theatre bookings.
• Processing and managing; forms, documents, requests, correspondence, and files.
• General office and administration duties.
Successful applicants must have:
• Excellent communication, time management and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritise workload in at times a fast-paced environment.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
• A willingness to learn new skills and industry specific computer programs. Experience using HealthTrack would be highly regarded.
• The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of the Medicare system and rebates.
• Demonstrate and provide high levels of professional care to the patients, families and other health services and providers.
