With a strong reputation built on expertise, reliability, and innovation, their Melbourne division is expanding, and they are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator with a mechanical design background to join their team.

About the Role:
As a Senior HVAC Estimator, you will play a critical role in preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for projects ranging from $200k to $5 million. Working directly with end-clients within the existing buildings space, you will liaise closely with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure bids are competitive while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse project specifications, drawings, and tender documents to determine material, labour, and time requirements.
• Prepare and submit accurate and competitive cost estimates for HVAC installations and services.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotes.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to align project scopes, budgets, and client expectations.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and propose cost-effective solutions.
• Use historical data and market trends to inform accurate and strategic estimating.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and contribute to post-bid reviews and client debriefs.

About You:

• Minimum of 7 years' experience as an HVAC Estimator, ideally within the Melbourne market.
• Solid technical knowledge of HVAC systems, installation methods, and industry standards.
• Proficient with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Familiarity with local and national building codes and regulations is advantageous.
• Ability to develop strong relationships with local suppliers and builders.
• A background in mechanical engineering is essential.
