Our client is an agency within a large NSW government that is embarking on creating a policy framework around the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) - building a framework for businesses to assess, manage and disclose nature related risks and opportunities.

Job Description

This is a short term contract for an experienced Project Coordinator to work on some initial project initiation / scoping - assisting the team to prepare for piloting work around policy and climate related disclosures

Responsibilities include:

• Work closely and negotiate with other divisions and organisations within NSW Government to facilitate the planning and coordination of joint projects.
• Undertake research to inform policy and program design, development and advice.
• Coordinate and/or contribute to the development of strategic programs to give effect to policies particularly with regard to disclosure of nature-related risks and natural capital.
• Contribute to operational policy development and program design that is diverse - with significant community impact and which may attract high community and media scrutiny.

Skills and Experience:

• Have the capability to understand complex and interrelated environmental and business issues in an operational context and developing and recommending innovative solutions.
• Project management skills essential
• Business and/or financial risk, stakeholder relationship management and sustainability strategy
• Any knowledge and/or experience in the Taskforce on on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) framework an advantage
  An understanding of natural capital and the role and function of Government in enabling investment in natural capital an advantage
• Knowledge and/or experience in financial risk in a corporate or financial services setting advantageous
