Responsibilities:

Using a variety of software packages and programs, such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Tencia, Intranet, Foxit / Adobe PDF etc., to produce correspondence and documents and maintain presentations, records, spreadsheets, and databases

Sort, code, and match invoices to purchase orders

Enter and upload invoices into system

Processing and payment of employee expense claims

Set invoices up for payment

Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments

Reconcile supplier statements

Supplier credit applications and submission

Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries

Assist with month end closing

Reconcile monthly credit card statements (Westpac Visas)

Update and maintain invoice register

Supported AP department in invoice entry and payment run prep

Assisted with month-end close by pulling reports and verifying GL entries

Filed documents and helped maintain audit-ready records

Provide support to accounts receivable and reception

Electronic filing of supplier documents and payments

Assist Head of Finance & Business Systems as required

Collaborate with procurement to verify purchase orders and receipts.

Qualifications & skills required

• Intermediate PC Skills, sound knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ERP Arrow/Tencia (desirable)

• Experience supporting finance / accounts payable functions in a import, wholesale & manufacturing environment (desirable).

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and AP processes.

• Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and professional manner, whether written or verbal

• Intermediate problem solving and analytical skills, including ability to identify issues and suggest solutions

• Strong time management skills with ability to prioritise and organise workload to meet deadlines

• Attention to detail with accurate data entry skills

• Fast learner, grasp new systems and processes quickly.
