Six Degrees Executive is partnering with multiple large Queensland State Government Departments to recruit several Human Resources and Recruitment Officers (AO3 and AO4 level). These contract opportunities sit across various corporate HR and business support teams, providing critical HR advice, recruitment support, and workforce administration services to internal stakeholders.

These positions are ideal for HR professionals with a passion for supporting people initiatives and projects in complex or high-volume environments. Queensland Government experience is highly regarded but not essential — applicants from recruitment agency or internal HR backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
· Provide accurate and timely advice across a broad range of HR services, including generalist HR, recruitment, onboarding, establishment management, employee relations, and workplace health and safety.
· Support the delivery of end-to-end recruitment activities, including job advertisements, employment screening, eligibility assessments, and onboarding documentation.
· Assist with HR project initiatives and contribute to the improvement of HR systems, policies, and processes.
· Prepare reports, workforce analytics, executive briefings, and other HR documentation as required.
· Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring a collaborative and client-focused approach to HR service delivery.
· Maintain high standards of confidentiality, data integrity, and compliance with HR legislative and policy frameworks.

Required Skillsets:
· HR and Recruitment Expertise: Previous experience working in HR advisory, recruitment, or talent acquisition roles, ideally within government or large, complex organisations.
· Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate HR advice clearly and build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
· Organisational Skills: Strong prioritisation and time management abilities to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
· System Proficiency: Confidence using HR and recruitment systems (e.g., Springboard, ServiceNow) or the ability to quickly learn new systems.
· Adaptability and Growth Mindset: Agile learner who embraces continuous improvement and personal development opportunities.
· Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related discipline highly regarded but not essential.
