Job Summary:

Gilders Transport and Logistics is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join its accounts team in Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Accounts Payable process by performing accounting and clerical duties in a timely and accurate manner. This permanent full-time position is based at our Head Office in Warwick Farm, NSW.

Responsibilities:

1. Processing, reviewing, and ensuring accuracy across all aspects of accounts payable, including data entry.

2. Preparing and scheduling payment runs.

3. Managing creditors.

4. Performing creditor reconciliations.

5. Serving as the primary contact for all creditor enquiries.

6. Conducting bank and credit card reconciliations.

7. Assisting the Financial Controller when needed.

8. Assisting with month-end accounting procedures and with the production of weekly, fortnightly, monthly and quarterly reports as required.

9. Assisting with process improvement initiatives and handling ad hoc duties.

10. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Skills Required:

- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable/Bookkeeping role

- Intermediate/Advanced computer skills, including Excel and MYOB

- Ability to work autonomously and collaborate with various divisions in the business

- Proven ability to problem solve

- High level of accuracy and attention to detail

- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure

- Understanding of spreadsheets, data analysis and reconciliation procedures.

- Strong organisational, administrative and procedural skills.

- Strong team player

- Exceptional customer service skills

- Resilience and the ability to thrive in a fast pace environment
