Details: The Policy and Communications team is seeking an innovative, motivated, and high performing individual who can support the delivery of strategic communication and engagement priorities. As part of this team, you will conceptualise and implement communication and engagement opportunities for key stakeholders.
To be successful in this role you must have knowledge and understanding of or interest in the NQF and the Education Act. Sound written and interpersonal communication skills are also essential.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Promote the NQF and to stakeholders encourage high quality and consistent delivery of education and care across Australia.
- Expand and maintain ECRS’s engagement with stakeholders using contemporary digital communication platforms.
- Support the delivery of stakeholder professional development opportunities and meetings.
- Develop and coordinate essential deliverables, such as targeted and engaging content for a range of communication channels.
- Contribute to branch planning, development, delivery and reporting of strategic communication and engagement priorities.
Eligibility/other requirements:
Professional / Technical Skills and Knowledge
- Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP). Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interpret and convert technical information into focused content for a range of audiences.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding or interest in the National Quality Framework and early childhood education and care settings.
- Proficiency in technology and computer software applications.
- Experience in developing and delivering communication material, with an emphasis on external communication.
- Knowledge or interest in contemporary communication principles, methodologies, tools, and platforms.
- Experience and/or qualifications in communications and early childhood education will be highly regarded.

The Directorate identifies education priorities and the development of strategies, policies and planning for improved learning outcomes through the 87 ACT Government schools. The Directorate also registers non government schools.
The Taskforce was established to examine how to improve assessment and support for children and young people in ACT public schools with learning difficulties. Key issues considered included students experiencing language disorders, comprehension and processing disorders, dyslexia-related issues and significant difficulties in general numeracy and literacy.
