Financial Accounts Assistant
Rate: $36.55 per hour + super
Location: Mentone, VIC
Duration: 4-month contract to 29 August 2025, with very likely extension

An exciting opportunity has opened up for an experienced Financial Accounts Assistant to join a dynamic team supporting vital community services.

Key selection criteria:

Is highly proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Has sharp attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

Excels at invoice reconciliation and processing high volumes (50+ invoices/day)

Brings strong experience in accounts payable/receivable, preferably from a large corporate environment

You will play a critical role in supporting a busy finance function, processing invoices, managing accounts queries, and ensuring records are accurate and up to date.

About the work:
You'll be part of a department that supports older adults, people with disabilities, and those with complex care needs across several Melbourne LGAs. Your work will directly impact services that help people live safely and independently at home.

Key responsibilities include:

End-to-end accounts payable and receivable processing

Reconciling creditor invoices and planned expenditure

Assisting customers and service providers with invoice and statement queries

Supporting data integrity and administration across finance systems

Delivering high-quality customer service to clients and stakeholders
