Hello prospective Moving Healthcare Physio!

You guessed it, we're looking for a new physio to join our friendly team of home-visiting physios and OT's! In addition to being a highly competent physio, you'll need to love working autonomously, displaying initiative and building meaningul, long term relationships with clients.

The role:

This is a subcontractor role that requires you to have the availability to take on the equivalent of at least one full day's worth of work to start with (this can be spread over multiple days), with the view of increasing gradually to 3-5 days over the next 6 months. That said, you get to control how busy you want to be.

This role would suit someone seeking extra hours and variety to complement other work, with the potential to grow into something more central in their working life (not essential).

You will be responsible for managing a caseload of patients across the lifespan with a variety of clinical presentations. This will mostly consist of working with NDIS participants living with a range of chronic disabilities, the elderly, and offering post operative rehab. That said, it's up to you to say yes or no to any new referrals that are sent your way!

You would be taking over some existing clients who are mostly based in the inner Northern suburbs of Melbourne (Preston, Coburg, Brunswick etc), so you must be willing to travel to these areas.

What you'll be doing:

Providing Physiotherapy services to patients in their homes or other community setting;

Conveying assessment findings and recommendations in the form of reports and letters addressed to relevant stakeholders;

Managing your own work schedule of patient appointments and associated paperwork and report writing. Administration work can be completed working from home.

Some things you'll need:

Tertiary degree in Physiotherapy and AHPRA Registration;

Registered, insured and roadworthy Vehicle and Driver's License;

An ABN (or willingness to obtain one - easily done!)

Current Police Check / NDIS Screening Check (or willingness to obtain - easily done!)

NDIS experience and/or knowledge preferable, but not essential;

Reliable mobile phone and laptop;

Ability to take initiative and think laterally;

Strong administration and time management skills;

Confidence working autonomously;

A warm disposition and a passion for developing meaningful rapport with their clients.

The perks:

Generous remuneration, commensurate with experience;

Professional development and career growth supported and encouraged;

Flexible working arrangements to fit your schedule and preferences;

A friendly and approachable Principal;

About Moving Healthcare:

My name is Gabriella, and I started Moving Healthcare in 2021. I graduated as a Physio in 2013 and since then have worked in a range of settings. Of all my experience, I have always felt particularly drawn to working in the community home-based environment. I love the personal and rewarding nature of working in this way and the truly functional and tangible results that can be achieved. Here are some other reasons why I love my job and why you might too!

I help ease peoples’ aches and pains, improve their capacity to move, achieve their goals and improve their overall quality of life.

I get to build therapeutic relationships with a wide range of people I might not get the chance or time to meet otherwise.

My work life has me out and about in the world, instead of being stuck in the confines of one building. (I get to try out a variety of cafes all around Melbourne on my lunch breaks. I know all the best cafes with Wi-Fi and which are conducive to getting admin work done!)

I have flexibility with how I schedule my days and weeks. I can find time for life admin such as going to the bank, medical appointments, and other unexpected life “stuff”.

I’m interested! What next?

Great! If you would like to know more about the role or want to speak with me prior to applying– please don’t hesitate to contact me on 0419 553 095 or email (preferred) [email protected].

Alternatively, simply go ahead and apply! Either by using the APPLY button on here or emailing through your CV and a brief Cover Letter to [email protected].
