In this role, you'll work collaboratively with the Facilitator and Counsellor to provide safety assessment, safety planning and support to victim survivors of family violence who are parents/carers or partners of a young person receiving services from the Oak Program. You'll provide psychoeducation about safe and positive parenting strategies and support victim survivors to reduce the harmful effects of family and domestic violence and to improve resilience and wellbeing.
This is a part-time (15 hours per week, ideally worked on Monday and Tuesdays), max term opportunity until 30 June 2026 and is based in Albany.
What you will bring
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:
- Diploma of Counselling or Community Services, or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in supporting individuals and families, preferably in respect to family and domestic violence and/or trauma
- Demonstrated ability to work with young people
- Demonstrated experience in family violence safety assessment and planning
- Experience working in culturally safe and responsive ways with clients from Aboriginal and other diverse cultural backgrounds
- Knowledge of victim survivor and perpetrator issues in Family and Domestic Violence
- Knowledge of current theory, practice and issues related to family and domestic violence and trauma and impact on families
The successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, a WA Working with Children Check and a WA Drivers Licence.

- $84,000 annual salary (pro- rata)
