About the Role:

WA Mining Maintenance are seeking an experienced and skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team on a Fly-in, Fly-out (FIFO) basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing a diverse fleet of heavy diesel equipment and machinery on various work sites across Australia. Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a range of heavy diesel vehicles and machinery, including trucks, loaders, dozers, excavators, and other mining or construction equipment.

Diagnose mechanical faults, identify solutions, and complete repairs in a timely and efficient manner.

Conduct detailed inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and effectively.

Work collaboratively with a team of mechanics, tradespeople, and site supervisors.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.

Adhere to safety procedures and comply with workplace safety regulations.

Skills & Experience Required:

Trade qualification in Diesel Mechanics or equivalent.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in heavy diesel mechanics (mining or construction experience highly regarded).

Extensive knowledge and experience working on heavy diesel equipment, including engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and transmissions.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in remote environments.

Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Current driver’s license (manual preferred).

Confined Space, Working at Heights, and First Aid qualifications would be advantageous.
