Randstad are currently assisting a large State Government department in recruiting for an outstanding AO3 Business Support Officer. This position is currently offered on an initial 3 month contract with potential for extension. The hourly rate offered is $49.40/hour.
Your new role:
- Providing administrative support - delivering day-to-day assistance to teams and managers to ensure smooth office operations.
- Managing calendars and schedules - coordinating appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements for staff and executives.
- Preparing reports and correspondence - drafting, formatting, and distributing internal and external documents and communications.
- Coordinating meetings and events - organising logistics, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items.
- Maintaining records and filing systems - ensuring accurate and confidential management of digital and physical documents.
- Handling internal and external communications - acting as a point of contact for stakeholders.
- Supporting project and program delivery - assisting with time lines, documentation, and administrative tasks related to projects.
- Processing invoices and expenses - handling financial paperwork, reconciling expenses, and budget tracking.
- Assisting with procurement and supplies - managing office inventory, placing orders, and liaising with suppliers.
- Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures - following and adhering to organisational standards and regulatory requirements.
What will you need to be successful in this role:
Administrative skills - strong ability to manage day-to-day office tasks efficiently.
Time management - able to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage competing demands.
Organisational skills - keeping files, records, and processes well-structured and accessible.
Communication skills - clear and professional verbal and written communication with staff and stakeholders.
Attention to detail - ensuring accuracy in documents, data entry, and reporting.
Problem-solving skills - identifying issues and finding practical, timely solutions.
IT proficiency - confident use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and other office systems.
