About the role:

This newly created Linux Engineer position is part of the evolution toward an automated, modern infrastructure environment. Managing a local Datacenter (once / week) alongside a close-knit Brisbane team and collaborating nationally with a wider team of 7, you will support a critical fleet of Linux servers (~200+) and contribute to hybrid cloud and containerisation initiatives.

This is a hands-on role for a technical specialist across Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), with a passion for automation using Ansible. You will also be part of a team shaping a containerisation journey through platforms like OpenShift.

About you:

You’ll bring:

• Proven hands-on experience with Linux system administration (preferably RHEL 7,8, 9).
• Advanced Datacenter management, racking / stacking for hardware and vendor management
• Practical expertise in using Ansible for automation, patching, and environment management or similar tools
• Exposure to containerization technologies such as OpenShift (desirable).
• Strong understanding of compute and storage environments within large-scale enterprise settings.
• Experience supporting hybrid environments (on-premises and Azure-based cloud infrastructure).
• A proactive, collaborative approach to technical delivery and problem-solving.
• Previous exposure to Entra ID, hybrid cloud provisioning, or working in regulated environments would be advantageous.
