Role Overview:
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Accounts & Administration Specialist will manage day-to-day accounting functions and provide vital administrative support. This role is perfect for a resourceful professional with 2-3 years of experience who is looking to take on increasing responsibilities over time. In this evolving role, your contributions in financial forecasting and process improvements will help shape our business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Functions:
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices, purchase orders, staff expense claims, and debt collections.
Perform bank reconciliations and assist with general ledger maintenance.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes, BAS, FBT and other compliances.
Work closely with managers to assist with budgeting, cash flow forecast and business profitability analysis.
Administrative Support:
Provide comprehensive administrative assistance including scheduling, document management, and office coordination.
Maintain organized records and support improvements in financial systems and business processes.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as required.
Additional Duties:
Adapt to various tasks as needed in our flexible, evolving business environment.
Contribute ideas and process improvements that can shape your role as our business expands.
Qualifications and Requirements:
2-3 years local experience in accounting and administrative roles.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software Oracle NetSuite is a plus.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
A keen eye for detail with a readiness to learn and adapt.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, though candidates with strong practical skills will also be considered.
