The Role:

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor within the Mobile Equipment Maintenance team, this role will see you:

1. Digital Radio Communication network (SepuraTetra)
2. Fleet Management and Drill Positioning Systems (Provision, Dispatch, Epiroc)
3. Driver Fatigue Monitoring Systems (Caterpillar DSS)
4. Collision Awareness Systems (GE)
5. LTE network trailers
6. Autonomous systems
7. Tyre Pressure Monitoring systems (Michelin MEMS)
8. Fleet health monitoring systems (Komtrax, KPAR, VIMS)

1. Providing multi skilled technical and field support to the mining operations for the entire scope of technologies accountabilities, which include but are not limited to:
2. Identifying and rectifying faults during inspections.
3. Scoping and creating 1SAP notifications for immediate and preventative work on fleet and equipment.
4. Initiating updates to work procedures to ensure they are accurate and relevant to equipment identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and assist in the implementing of the new initiatives in a constructive way
5. Executing tasks to a high standard and in a safe and timely matter

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have the following attributes and experience:

1. Tertiary qualification or Trade Qualification certification in communications, electronic or digital radio field. Communications background from Telstra/Optus or Military will also be considered.
2. Experience of (FMS) Fleet Management Systems, GPS and wireless network systems. (preferred)
3. Multi-skilled across communications and electronics and can interpret and read maintenance plans and technical information.
4. Excellent oral and written communication skills
5. Ability to problem solve (including root cause analysis)
6. C class drivers license
7. Experience in a relevant or equivalent role
8. Exposure to FIFO or shift work
