Description
- Manage daily purchasing activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective supply of goods and materials.
- Raise and maintain purchase orders, supplier records, and product pricing in ERP systems.
- Assist with sourcing new suppliers and conducting supplier evaluations based on cost, quality, and reliability.
- Support negotiations with suppliers to secure favourable terms and maintain agreed service levels.
- Monitor supplier delivery performance and resolve discrepancies or supply issues.
- Conduct spend analysis and procurement reporting to support business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and operational guidelines.
- Collaborate with production, warehousing, and finance teams to align procurement with operational needs.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency and cost control.
- Assist in implementing procurement best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Profile
You're an organised and technically capable procurement professional with experience managing purchasing in a manufacturing or supply chain environment. You are confident using ERP systems for procurement tasks and reporting. Your skills include supplier management, basic contract negotiation, data entry accuracy, and spend analysis. You're proactive, able to prioritise competing tasks, and can work collaboratively with production and operations teams. Previous experience in packaging, manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial sectors is highly regarded. A qualification in procurement, supply chain, or business will support your success in this role.
