Position Overview:

As a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic at Diesel Services Queensland, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our customers fleet. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy vehicles to the highest standards. We will also consider experienced Light Vehicle Mechanics who are looking to transition into the heavy vehicle industry and are willing to learn and grow with us.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy vehicles, including engines, transmissions, and brake systems.

Diagnose mechanical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.

Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and address them promptly.

Replace or repair faulty components and systems.

Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.

Collaborate with team members to achieve optimal results and share best practices.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic or similar role.

Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and heavy vehicle systems.

Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Ability to use diagnostic equipment and hand tools effectively.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Certificate III in Engineering-Mechanical trade or similar trade.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

A valid driver’s license is required; a heavy vehicle license and forklift license is a plus.
