Psychologist Contractors

Due to an increasing number of referrals from a wide and loyal referral network, we currently have the opportunity for Psychologists to join the Adaptive Counselling and Psychology team!

We offer above industry standard remuneration with a 70/30 split. We understand that you have studied hard and that you give your all to your clients and therefore should be reimbursed as such.

About the business

Adaptive Counselling and Psychology is a small, values-based private practice. Providing accessible psychological treatment to all people, when they need it, is the cornerstone of our clinic. We provide assessment, and counselling to adults, adolescents, and young people who may be experiencing a range of mental health challenges. We also have a team of Mental Health Occupational Therapists with whom we deliver multidisciplinary support to our shared clients. We are now positioned to expand our team so we may continue meeting our vision of being able to provide bespoke mental health services to all seeking support.

About the role

We are looking for Psychologists to join us in our Bentleigh office.

The role will commence with capacity for sessions over 1 – 2 days per week with intended scope to increase working days as you build your case load.

We’re hoping to find somebody who not only aligns with our client-first approach to treatment, but also has an earnest interest in establishing their own footing as a clinician through the role as a contractor, and would input towards Adaptive’s collective goals (and vice versa).

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Current registration as a Psychologist (with AHPRA) and be eligible to provide Medicare rebated services (essential)
• A genuine passion / interest in supporting the people
• The ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience providing evidence based psychological therapies
• An interest in developing and growing a private practice
• Professional Indemnity Insurance & Working with Children's Check (We can help guide these processes if you do not yet have these arranged.)

Primary duties include:

• Providing psychological counselling, assessment, and treatment to adults, adolescents, and/or young people who are clients of the service.
• Maintenance of clinical records & letters/reports as appropriate in a timely manner.
• Developing and managing a caseload based on your experience and interests.
• Promote and maintain Adaptive Counselling and Psychology values and ethos.

Unfortunately we are not yet offering opportunities for provisional psychologists.
