The Team:

Join our award-winning team of Clinical Nursing and Midwifery Educators and Clinical Facilitators who work across the North West of Tasmania as patient safety guardians. We build the clinical skills of the whole multidisciplinary team to respond to patient deterioration. We develop innovative evidence-based programs to build the clinical competence of nurses across the spectrum of practice. Participate in whole of health service simulation exercises. Learn and grow with us.

The Role:

As Clinical Facilitator in the undergraduate nursing program you will support students from a range of universities and vocational education providers in practice.

  • To be a Registered Nurse with recent clinical experience in acute care settings.
  • An interest in undergraduate teaching and an understanding of curriculum requirements and assessment processes for both higher education and vocational education programs.
  • The ability to work in a team and provide constructive feedback to learners.

Details of appointment:

  • Permanent, part time, day worker position, working up to 40 hours per fortnight, commencing from 27 July 2025.
  • Fixed term, part time, shift worker position, working up to 40 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 6 April 2026.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $99,455 to $105,995 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type

Salary Packaging:

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  • Progressing towards Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and/or relevant post graduate qualifications.
  • More than 4-years’ experience as a registered nurse.
  • Experience as a preceptor of student nurses
