About the role

As a Rehabilitation Counsellor/ Psychologist with us, you will play an important role in assisting our clients to find their new training or career pathway post injury. The role will involve:

Coordinating and managing the rehabilitation of participants to facilitate their recovery

Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify barriers and develop tailored rehabilitation plans

Liaising with key stakeholders including medical providers, community case managers and scheme agents to ensure effective communication and case management progression

Monitoring progress and adjusting rehabilitation plans as needed to optimise outcomes

Providing regular updates and reports on case progress to all relevant parties

Communicating the needs of participants and ensuring they receive the appropriate support and resources

Maintaining accurate and detailed case records in line with legislative and organisational requirements

Assisting participants to return to the workforce and or education

What we're looking for

Relevant tertiary qualification in Rehabilitation Counselling or Psychology disciplines

Extensive experience (5+ years) in case management or a similar role working with persons with significant injury (Traumatic brain injury, Amputation or Spinal Cord Injury)

Demonstrated ability to effectively liaise and negotiate with a diverse range of stakeholders

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think creatively

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach

Proficient in case management principles, rehabilitation processes and relevant legislation

Demonstrated ability to work under a KPI model

As a provider we work within the scope of a workplace rehab (Atlas Rehab) as well as an injury management (Rebound Rehab) providing opportunity for career and skill progression and growth. Our mission is to have the opportunity to empower participants to regain their independence where possible and engage in life roles post injury.

This role is subject to a preplacement medical, a current (less than 12 months old) criminal record check and a verified working with children check prior to commencement.
