SCDS operates a Supported Independent Living (SIL) group home in Long Beach, in addition to providing community-based support across the South Coast region. Our services focus on enhancing quality of life, promoting autonomy, and fostering meaningful connections.
About the Role
We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and motivated Casual Disability Support Workers to join our growing team. As a support worker, you will assist people with disabilities in their daily lives, promoting independence, dignity, and meaningful community participation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Providing individual support with daily living activities, personal care, and meal preparation
• Assisting with medication administration
• Supporting clients with social and community engagement
• Implementing behaviour support strategies as required
• Assisting with transportation and mobility needs
• Maintaining accurate documentation and shift reports
• Working collaboratively with families, guardians, and healthcare professionals

About You:
We are looking for individuals who:
• Are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of people with disabilities
• Have strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships
• Are patient, empathetic, and adaptable to individual client needs
• Are reliable, professional, and committed to providing high-quality support
• Can work independently and as part of a team
Essential Requirements:
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Working With Children Check (WWCC)
• Current First Aid & CPR Certification
• Australian Driver’s License and reliable vehicle (with comprehensive insurance)
• Experience in disability support, aged care, mental health, or community services (preferred but not essential)
