Housekeeper Wanted: No, You Won’t Just Be Taking Us Out for Coffee. Yes, You Will Actually Be Cleaning.

We are looking to directly employ two Housekeepers to help keep our busy home running smoothly. The role is based in Mountain Creek and supports a disabled family (us!) — but this is not a support worker position. This is a proper housekeeping role for someone who’s reliable, has a sense of humour, and isn’t afraid of a bit of hard work.

If your idea of a great day at work is ticking off a to-do list, blasting your favourite playlist, and knowing you’ve made a genuine difference in someone’s day (even if it involves scrubbing a bird cage), read on.

About the role:

This job is hands-on and varied — no two days will look exactly the same. Duties will include:

General housework and cleaning

Cleaning a bird cage (budgie fans, apply within!)

Walking and bathing two small (and very sassy) dogs

Grocery shopping and errands

Other odd jobs around the house, as needed

Shifts:

10am–5pm OR 11am–6pm, 4–5 days per week (as needed)

Occasional weekend work (no more than once a month)

What we're looking for:

✅ Someone who is organised, dependable, and takes pride in doing a good job
✅ Has their own car with a current roadworthy certificate and comprehensive insurance
✅ Willing to sign a basic Employment Contract and Confidentiality Agreement
✅ Open-minded and comfortable working with an atheist, Wiccan, queer, trans, autistic, disabled, sweary, bogan family
✅ Must like budgies. Must like dogs.

You’re looking for a cruisy support worker role (this isn’t it!)

You aren’t prepared to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in

You hate pets or dust, or have a bad back
