Used Car Sales Manager - Melbourne

Our client is a high volume, pre owned vehicle sales facility located in Brooklyn, Melbourne. They are seeking a very strong retail Sales Manager to help oversee their pre owned vehicle sales operations. This dealership forms part of a very large dealer group, therefore offers great career path opportunities and job security.

Job Responsibilities :
To help oversee the day-to-day operations of the Sales Department including the preparation of monthly management reports, overseeing expenditure and budget achievement, and mentoring sales consultants.

Identify and prospect new retail customers from within our primary marketing area

Understand the customers objectives, buying criteria and decision making processes

Build rapport, forming long term business relationships

Lead and undertake all aspects of the sales process, from prospect through to delivery; and assist less experienced sales consultants

Promote a subset of company products and services ensuring successful introductions to Car Care and Finance & Insurance

Attend various business and industry events as required.

Experience:

Previous Automotive Sales Management experience essential, with demonstrated leadership skills within a pre owned vehicle retail environment

Sound administrative and organisational skill sufficient to oversee administrative aspects of the Department

Exceptional communication skills

Sound computer skills and a proven ability to maximise output from available databases

highly professional approach, together with a proven strong work ethic

Proven ability to supervise, mentor, and motivate sales personnel to ensure the achievement of targets
