Qualified Butcher – Full-Time (38 Hours per Week, Wednesday to Saturday)

Baldy’s Butchery is a fast-paced, family-owned and operated business committed to delivering exceptional quality products and customer service. We are seeking a qualified butcher to join our team in a permanent full-time position, working 38 hours per week across Wednesday to Saturday on the close shift.

This role requires a skilled professional with well-rounded butchering abilities, a strong customer service mindset, and a commitment to maintaining high standards in hygiene, presentation, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general butchering duties, including boning, slicing, and portioning of meat products

• Engage with customers in a professional and courteous manner at the front counter

• Prepare and package value-added products to specification and quality standards

• Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment throughout each shift

• Execute end-of-day cleaning and closing duties in line with shop procedures

• Work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative and independence

Essential Criteria

• Fully qualified butcher with demonstrated experience in retail butchery

• High standards of cleanliness, personal hygiene, and food safety

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work autonomously with minimal supervision

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Willingness to contribute to all aspects of the shop’s operation, including value-added production and counter service
