Chandler Macleod are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our casual pool list for our client in Northam. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move materials and products around the mill factory premises, ensuring the efficient and safe handling of materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts and other machinery to move, load, and unload raw materials, finished products, and other goods within the factory and warehouse.
• Assist in organizing and storing materials according to safety protocols and production needs.
• Maintain inventory control by keeping accurate records of materials moved and ensuring stock is properly rotated.
• Ensure all forklifts and equipment are maintained and operated in accordance with company safety standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with production staff and other teams to ensure timely and efficient material flow.
• Perform routine inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues or malfunctions.
• Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental regulations within the workplace.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a forklift operator or similar role in a factory or warehouse environment.
• Valid High Risk Work Licence - LF
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Good communication and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy loads (up to 25kgs)
• Flexible and willing to work in shifts when necessary.
