Founded in 1968, our client is today one of the most diverse, multi-disciplinary private practices in Australia. Their team currently comprises 45 different practitioners across 12 different health disciplines, including Psychology and General Practice. Our client’s practice focuses on providing a warm, caring environment for our patients, and a supportive, nurturing environment for our practitioner team.

The main purpose of this position is to provide Speech Pathology services in line with our client’s Health core values in order to deliver an integrated, high-quality service and an exemplary patient experience.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

· Provide patients with an appointment in line with SP000 Patient Consultation Procedure (to be drafted).

· Deliver all clinical sessions using the Practice core values as a guiding principle.

· Create a professional, dynamic, and nurturing experience for the patient.

· Address the health status/problems of the patient using a holistic approach to diagnose and treat the underlying cause of issues.

· Ensure the neat and tidy presentation of the Speech Pathologist room.

· Maintain current registration with the Speech Pathology Board of Queensland and current Indemnity Insurance to an agreed level.

· Provide clear, concise communication through regular reports or other effective means of communication with all professionals involved in the care of a client.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

· Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology.

· Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

· Experience and skill in all areas of Speech Pathology and client care.

· Knowledge of windows-based computer programs.

· Understanding of the medico-legal position regarding patient confidentiality.
