THE COMPANY
We are a boutique used vehicle dealership that has experienced continuous growth from both it’s wholesale and retail divisions over the last 5 years.
THE ROLE
In this newly created role, we are seeking an Automotive Bookkeeper to come on board our team who will also be required to assist with admin duties, helping to support the company Director.
The role will be 70% Accounting based 30% Admin support.
Previous Automotive Accounts experience required
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
**Bookeeper/Accounting:
Help maintain accurate records of financial transactions
inventory control (using EasyCars software program DMS)
bank reconciliations
invoices
payroll
payment of creditors
**Admin support:
Help with the management of Vic Roads (registrations & transfers).
Answering phone
Assisting director with daily tasks eg. dealing with queries on the phone and via email, booking transport for motor vehicles, organising and scheduling appointments.
What we're looking for
Previous Automotive Accounts experience required
Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in the Accounting or Bookkeeping & Small Practice Accounting industry
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and software (e.g. MYOB, Xero)
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
Strong organisational and time management skills
Excellent communication both written and verbal
