Your Role
As our Educational Leader, you’ll guide the design and implementation of high-quality early childhood programs. You’ll mentor educators, lead improvement plans, and foster a supportive learning environment that nurtures children and builds strong relationships with families.
Key Responsibilities
Lead curriculum development and ensure alignment with the EYLF and NQF
Guide and support educators in planning and delivering programs.
Facilitate professional development opportunities for staff, promoting best practices in early childhood education
Monitor and assess the quality of educational practices within the centre and ensure compliance with licensing and accreditation
Collaborate with the Director of Education to implement improvement plans based on evaluations and feedback
Build positive relationships with families, encouraging their involvement in the educational process
Communicate regularly with families about their children’s progress and program initiatives
Lead regular team meetings to discuss program planning and staff development, foster collaboration that encourages sharing of ideas and practices
About You
You are a passionate leader in early childhood education, with a deep commitment to quality teaching and learning. You’re a proactive, collaborative communicator who thrives in team settings and inspires excellence in others. You have a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, and have excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
Your qualifications and experience include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (Essential)
Current Blue Card (Essential)
HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid in an education and care setting (Essential)
Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks in early childhood education
Demonstrated leadership experience in childcare settings

About Hamilton Island Enterprises
History
From its original settlement by the Ngaro Aboriginal tribe, to its visit by Captain Cook in 1770, and evolution as a tourist destination in the 1970s and 1980s, Hamilton Island has had a long and interesting history. The island was purchased by renowned Australian winemaker, Bob Oatley, in 2003, and since, has become one of the world’s leading holiday destinations.
Environment
While there is an abundance of restaurants, bars and resorts on Hamilton Island, only a third of the island is developed - meaning the rest remains in its pristine, natural state. There are more than a dozen walking trails through which guests can explore the island.
Infrastructure
Every year, the Oatley family invests millions of dollars in improving the accommodation, infrastructure and services available on Hamilton Island. This includes ensuring that waste is disposed of in the most environmentally-friendly manner - and is re-used wherever possible - as well as making sure power sources are utilised in the most efficient way.
