Procurement Officer – Major Transport Infrastructure Project (AO5)
Location: Sunshine Coast | $67.13–$72.96/hr | Full-time Contract

Help shape the future of public transport on the Sunshine Coast! We are looking for a capable Procurement Officer (AO5 Project Advisor) to join the team delivering the transformative Metro project — a future-focused initiative designed to improve mobility, reduce congestion, and support sustainable growth in one of Queensland’s fastest-growing regions.

This is your chance to contribute to a once-in-a-generation infrastructure program that aims to create a connected, modern, and efficient public transport solution. You’ll work side by side with commercial, procurement, and project delivery teams to ensure procurement activities run smoothly and in line with governance standards.

This position is offering an initial one year contract with potential extension and full time hours!

Your role will include:

Developing and coordinating procurement documentation including Invitations to Tender, RFQs, KPIs, Procurement Plans, and Evaluation Plans

Supporting tender processes: managing correspondence, assisting evaluation teams, and finalising award documentation

Contributing to contract management and supplier performance tracking

Maintaining high-quality records and supporting shared inbox management

Collaborating across internal teams to drive outcomes aligned with cost, quality, and innovation objectives

Reporting directly to the Project Manager and working closely with regional procurement stakeholders

Key selection criteria:

Demonstrated experience in procurement or contract support, ideally in government or large-scale infrastructure projects

Strong attention to detail, time management, and organisational skills

Excellent verbal and written communication

Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of internal stakeholders

Familiarity with governance and risk management practices

Highly regarded:

Experience with government procurement policies and infrastructure delivery frameworks

Prior involvement in major project environments
