• A06 Procurement Advisor
• Initial contract to August 2025 + possible to extension
• QLD State Government Department
• $76.50 + super, per hour
• Chermside location preferred, however open to Brisbane CBD or Cannon Hill office location

Fantastic opportunity to join this close-knit team, within a leading Queensland Government department. As a Procurement Officer, you will:

• Preparing and calling Capital Infrastructure tenders and undertaking purchasing activities across a variety of categories involving construction, maintenance, consulting and upgrade activities, including evaluation and regulatory techniques.
• Work with various stakeholders (Partners, Operations, Estimating, Program and Planning staff)
• Provide assistance and guidance on sourcing solutions for various projects and future works, contract terms and conditions, evaluations, negotiations, contractor performance, etc.
• Providing efficient and high standards of customer service to internal stakeholders and customers, establishing strong relationships with key suppliers and contractors.
• Provide support in the development and implementation of Standing Offer Agreements and other key contracts.

You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of the procurement function, experience in government procurement environments is an added bonus!
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite.
• Knowledge of Queensland Procurement Policy and other policies and legislation relating to procurement
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proven experience in a procurement officer role.
