What you'll do

As a Payroll Services Officer, you will play a key role in the delivery of all payroll related functions including the preparing of casual appointments and processing of employee entitlements. In addition, you will:

  • Provide payroll related information, advice, and support to clients on the interpretation and implementation of relevant HR policy and procedure.
  • Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to understand their people and payroll needs.
  • Prepare a range of employment related correspondence and payroll documentation.
  • Ensure that PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) data is maintained in a timely and accurate way so that critical deadlines are met.
  • Work collaboratively in a fast-paced team to ensure appropriate levels of compliant quality service are delivered to our people.

What will help you succeed

Key to your success in this role will be your ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail and confidentiality, combined with your commitment to providing high quality client service and advice. In addition, you will have:

  • A relevant Diploma or Certificate IV level qualification and/or relevant experience in a payroll role.
  • An ability to understand and interpret established payroll and HR policies and procedures within a large organisation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the use of Human Capital Management (HCM) systems or another large database along with sound IT skills; and
  • An ability to work effectively in a team environment and organise and prioritise your own work activities in order to meet established deadlines.

Term: Full-time continuing appointment (36 hours/week)

Salary: Total remuneration range $90,773 to $102,949 pa (includes salary range of $76,699 to $86,986 pa, employer super contributions of 17% and annual leave loading)
