We are seeking a Data Admin Officer in Canberra. This role focuses on managing and analysing GRDC's data assets. Key responsibilities include ensuring data security and integrity, conducting in-depth data analysis, developing Power BI dashboards, and extracting and manipulating data from various systems. These functions are essential for providing data-driven insights to support GRDC’s strategic goals and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities:
Ensure the accessibility, security, integrity, and ethical handling of GRDC's data assets across various technologies.
Conduct in-depth analysis and validation of data from multiple sources to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to enhance business intelligence and support data-driven decision-making.
Execute ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate and manipulate data from various information systems, ensuring alignment with specific informational requirements and organizational objectives.
Document detailed data requirements, specifications, and standards, and communicate these effectively to data providers.
Oversee and manage data-related administrative tasks to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.
Candidate Profile:
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in data administration, data management, or data analysis, with a strong technical background.
Proficiency in data modelling, data warehousing, and data quality tools and techniques.
Advanced skills in Power BI and familiarity with other BI tools and platforms.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and data literacy.
Highly organized with the capability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
Mandatory Requirements:
Must be prepared to travel as and when required.
Must be willing to undergo all Pre-employment Medical checks.
Must have a valid Australian Driver’s Licence as deemed necessary.
