About the position
Council is seeking a dedicated Open Space Maintenance Officer to become a valued member of our Parks Horticulture team. In this hands-on role, you'll play a key part in maintaining our beautiful parks and reserves, using your horticulture lawn maintenance experience, along with utilising specialised horticultural equipment, to help keep our open spaces thriving.
The main responsibilities will include:
- Undertake horticultural and lawn maintenance tasks such as ride on mowing, hand mowing, brush cutting, mulching, pruning, watering and weed control
- Assist in undertaking planting programs
- Assist in carrying out any necessary cleansing activities in parks and reserves including collection of litter and reporting of graffiti and vandalism
About you
- Experience maintaining and enhancing open space parks
- Ability to use a variety of horticulture tools, plant and equipment
- A current Victorian Driver's License
- A strong understanding of safe work practices

This position is remunerated at a Band 2A $65,336.84 per annum plus superannuation.
