We are seeking expressions of interest from reliable and hardworking individuals to join our outdoor operations team across multiple depots in Nathalia, Cobram, and Yarrawonga. These roles support Council's civil maintenance, parks and gardens, waste services, and street cleaning programs.

About the Work:

You'll be involved in a range of tasks including:

• Operating plant and equipment such as sweepers and compactors
• General labouring including grass cutting, footpath and kerb maintenance, and drainage work
• Street bin collection and convenience cleaning across CBD and recreation areas
• Supporting civil works and open space maintenance across multiple locations, including coverage at Numurkah and Tungamah when required

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete daily tasks safely and efficiently, ensuring plant is checked and maintained
• Work in small teams to meet operational targets and uphold service standards
• Accurately record daily work and report maintenance or asset issues
• Follow OH&S procedures and contribute to a safe workplace
• Demonstrate a positive, adaptable attitude and take pride in maintaining public spaces

Essential Criteria:

• Experience in civil works, construction, or parks and gardens maintenance
• All candidates will be required to undergo a Police Check
• Sound knowledge and safe operation of relevant plant and machinery
• Valid White Card and Drivers, MR or HR licence
• Physically fit and capable of undertaking manual tasks outdoors
• Reliable, proactive and able to work across different depots as required

Desirable:

• Certificates in traffic control, chemical handling, or plant operation (e.g. skidsteer, backhoe)
• First Aid and CPR certification
