Employing over 300 dedicated staff, they provide high quality residential aged care for more than 160 men and women in 5 homes across Northern Sydney – Gordon, Mosman, Dural, Hunters Hill and Gladesville.

The Role

The Recreational Activities Officer provides recreational and leisure activities in our home environment. Leisure and recreational activities are designed to include a holistic approach to meet the specific needs and interests of the person and to promote a sense of well-being. Your duties include but are not limited to:

Assist residents to identify their preferred recreational activities

Document assessed needs of residents according to company policy

Implement the established individual programs for residents under the supervision of the Facility Manager

Evaluate residents responses to implemented care plan and document according to Company policy

Encourage and support clients to participate in activities suited to their particular needs and interests

Supervise volunteers when involved with resident activities

Shift Details

Job Type: Full-Time
Availability Requirements:

Minimum availability on Monday to Friday

Shift Timing: 9:00am-5:00pm

Location: Mosman NSW 2088

About you

Demonstrating experience in a similar role, you will have proven yourself as a Recreational Activities Officer who treats residents in a respectful and courteous manner. Further, you will have:

Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (required)

An up to date Police Check or NDISWC

Have received COVID-19 Booster Vaccination

Previous experience working in community or aged care would be highly regarded

Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills

Most importantly, you will be a team player who lives and breathes our values every day.
