The HR Business Partner will oversee Abbey Queensland sites as well as our Manufacturing Plant/s which is a fully accredited APVMA licensed manufacturing facility based in Carole Park, Brisbane.

We are looking for candidates who are willing to work either Full time/ part time or school hours.

Purpose of the role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Business Partner to join our team in Brisbane. This role will be integral in driving key HR initiatives, ensuring compliance with workplace regulations, and fostering a high-performance culture within our manufacturing operations. The HR Business Partner will provide strategic and operational HR support, working closely with managers and employees to enhance engagement, talent development, and workforce effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities-

Talent Management & Recruitment

Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for the Pharmavet and Abbey Queensland warehouse sites, including job briefings, advertising, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and onboarding to attract top talent.

Develop and implement talent strategies to support workforce planning and business growth.

Employee Relations & Performance Management

Provide expert advice and support on employee relations matters, including investigations, performance management, misconduct, and grievances, ensuring fair and legally compliant outcomes.

Conduct exit interviews and support retention strategies to enhance employee satisfaction.

Lead initiatives that promote employee engagement and a positive workplace culture.

HR Strategy & Compliance

Partner with leadership to drive people and culture strategies aligned with business objectives.

Ensure compliance with employment laws(Fairworks), Awards, workplace agreements, and company policies to mitigate risk.

Manage and update workplace agreements, pay scales, and conditions of employment in alignment with industry standards.

Provide guidance on occupational health and safety (OH&S) compliance and risk management.

Workplace Health & Safety (WH&S) & Injury Management

Ensure adherence to workplace health and safety regulations and best practices.

Oversee injury management and workers compensation matters and return-to-work programs to support employees and reduce business risk.

Training & Development

Manage onboarding processes and ongoing training programs to ensure employees are well-equipped for their roles.

Develop learning and development initiatives that enhance skills and career progression.

HR Operations & Payroll

Oversee HR processes, including remuneration reviews, workforce planning, and HR reporting.

Support the seamless execution of payroll processes in collaboration with the finance/Accounts team

Adhoc projects as required by Senior Management

Tertiary Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business.

4-5 years of experience in an HR Business Partner or similar HR generalist role within the manufacturing industry.

Strong knowledge of Australian employment law, industrial relations, and workplace health and safety regulations.

Demonstrated ability to manage employee relations matters with professionalism and discretion.

Experience in end-to-end recruitment and talent management.

Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across all levels of the business.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to influence decision-making.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
