Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Paramedicine to join School of Clinical Sciences, Faculty of Health.

We invite applications for an influential Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor with a national or international reputation for excellence in paramedicine education, research, and leadership. The position will provide exceptional leadership, mentorship, and support across learning and teaching, research and research training, and engagement activities to enhance academic outcomes for the School of Clinical Sciences. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of evidence-based teaching in undergraduate and postgraduate courses, a high level of understanding of contemporary paramedicine practice, and a track record in research and supervision leading to quality student outcomes.

The School of Clinical Sciences is composed of six distinct disciplines; medical radiation sciences, optometry, paramedicine, pharmacy, podiatry, and radiation therapy. The School has a globally-recognised research program, changing clinical practice for the better, advancing healthcare technologies and treatments to improve outcomes for individuals and communities..

What you need to succeed

1. Completion of a doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline area, and current registration or eligibility to register with the Paramedicine Board of Australia (or international equivalent).
2. Proven record of excellence in scholarly and innovative approaches to teaching and learning.
3. Record of high impact and high-quality research and translation of research outcomes into education and practice.
4. Demonstrated success in leading clinical and academic teams, including the ability to successfully mentor clinical and academic staff.
5. Demonstrated excellence in, and high-level understanding of, contemporary paramedicine practice.
6. Demonstrated success at establishing and maintaining collaborations that extend best practices, implement leading solutions, and realise new opportunities.
