We’re currently seeking a compassionate, motivated individual to join our team as a Domestic Violence (DV) Support Worker. This role includes paid training and the opportunity to complete a nationally recognised Certificate III in Community Services while gaining hands-on experience.
About the Role
As a DV Support Worker, you’ll provide direct support to individuals and families impacted by domestic and family violence. You’ll assist with safety planning, crisis response, advocacy, and connecting clients with essential services.
You’ll be working in a supportive team, with experienced professionals who will mentor and guide you every step of the way.
No Experience? No Problem!
This is an entry-level role designed to support people looking to start a meaningful career in the community services sector. You’ll be fully trained and supported to build your skills while working toward your formal qualification.
Key Responsibilities
· Support clients experiencing family violence with empathy and respect
· Provide practical help and emotional support during times of crisis
· Refer clients to housing, legal, health, and other community services
· Maintain client records and contribute to case planning
· Work collaboratively with service providers and team members
What you will need
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· A caring non-judgmental attitude
· Willingness to learn and complete training requirements
· Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check, Police Check and have a valid Driver’s License
