The Roles

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Architectural Draftsperson to join our team in Smithfield, NSW. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate and high-quality technical drawings and documentation for our stonework products, ensuring alignment with architectural designs and project specifications.

Job Description

Prepare detailed architectural drawings for stone benchtops, wall claddings, vanities, splashbacks, and other custom installations using AutoCAD or similar software.

Interpret architectural plans and translate them into precise fabrication and installation drawings.

Liaise with clients, designers, and project managers to confirm design intent and ensure dimensional accuracy.

Modify and revise drawings based on client feedback, site measurements, or design changes.

Collaborate with the production and installation teams to ensure seamless delivery and execution.

Maintain accurate records and version control for all drawings and project documentation.

Ensure all drawings comply with relevant building codes, industry standards, and company quality procedures.

Required Knowledge and Skills

Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Architectural Drafting, Building Design, or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of relevant drafting experience, ideally within the construction or architectural stone industry.

Proficiency in AutoCAD (experience with Rhino, SketchUp, or other 3D modeling tools a plus).

Strong understanding of architectural and construction detailing.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Knowledge of natural and engineered stone materials is highly desirable.
