Hearts and Minds Early Learning is a new childcare provider currently operating three Early Learning Centres in WA & ACT

Hearts and Minds Early Learning Golden Bay offers state of the art facilities and resources. We provide warm, inviting indoor spaces and exciting outdoor nature play areas. The service features an outstanding quality kitchen and dining area where families and children can gather and share experiences.

About the role:

We are looking for an engaged, enthusiastic & experienced Early Learning centre cook to provide high quality, nutritious & exciting daily nourishment for all the children attending our centre.

About You:

• Experienced in Menu planning, budgeting, stock ordering & control
• Experienced in dietary and allergy safe requirements.
• Experienced in ensuring a clean and safe kitchen environment in accordance with the relevant Food Safety regulations
• Have completed, or be willing to complete a Working With Children Check & to Standard 3.2.2A - food handlers certificate & food safety supervisor.
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Good communication skills
• Ability to develop warm and respectful relationships with children and families.

Skills and experience

• A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an ACECQA approved Early Childhood qualification and experience in a cooking & food handler role
• A current Working with Children’s Check / Blue Card / DCSI Clearance and First Aid
• Completed or willing to complete Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
