About the Position

We are searching for an early childhood professional who is looking to take the next step in their career to lead and mentor Greater Hume's team of educators across the Culcairn and Henty Centres. Greater Hume Children Services are an established early childhood education and care provider, dedicated to providing high quality education and care in a nurturing, nature based environment. Greater Hume operate four (4) Early Childhood Centres, across Culcairn, Henty, Holbrook and Walla Walla and three (3) OSHC services.

This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the two (2) services, ensuring a high quality of education and care is provided. It is essential that the Team Leader has a solid understanding of relevant regulations and educational frameworks that govern early childhood education and care and child protection. This position also oversees and manages the curriculum for Culcairn and Henty Centre, ensuring relevant regulations are met across both sites, leading both teams and building strong relationships with teams and families at Culcairn and Henty.

To assist with meeting the expectations of this position, the Team Leader will work alongside a passionate and experienced management team to support a creative, nurturing and compliant environment within Greater Hume Centres.

We are looking for:

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education;
  • Experience working in an early childhood setting;
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team of early childhood educators;
  • Excellent skills in using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook;
  • Working knowledge of National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework with Assessment and Rating experience;
  • Current Accredited Child Protection training;
  • Current First Aid Certificate;
  • Current Class 'C' Drivers Licence; and
  • Hold and maintain a current Working with Children Check and a National Police Check.

Salary and Hours

The salary for this position is in the range of $81,550 to $91,330 gross per annum plus an 11.5% Council Superannuation contribution. The position works a 38 hour week within Culcairn and Henty Centre opening hours and offers a Council vehicle for business and commuter use.
